Air Fryer Biscuit Donuts don’t have to be kept just for breakfast! These are also perfect for a quick dessert after dinner or even for curing that late-night sweet tooth!
This Air Fryer Donut recipe uses just 4 ingredients, 3 of which you’re likely to have on hand! Grabbing a can of refrigerated biscuits is an inexpensive way to keep a quick treat on hand when the craving for these tasty fun donuts hit!
Like chocolate on your donut? Try making my Boston Cream Donuts that also uses Grands Biscuits to deliver the cream-filled, chocolate topped favorite!

Air Fryer Donut Ingredients
For these donuts all you’ll need is Grands! Flaky Layers Original Biscuits, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and salted butter.
If you want a sweet glaze topping just mix up powdered sugar, water, and vanilla extract!
Recipe Substitutions & Alternative Topping Ideas
- Glazed – Everyone loves glazed donuts – they’re actually my personal favorite! I’ve included a glaze recipe in the full recipe notes you can make!
- Chocolate – Make the chocolate sauce from my Boston Cream donuts and dip these in that and top with sprinkles, if desired!
- Powdered – An old fashioned classic! After frying, simply toss the donuts in powdered sugar to coat!
- Grands! Flaky Layers Honey Butter Biscuits – To replace the original biscuits as a delicious variation to try! You could add a little honey to the glaze to really amp up that sweet flavor, too!
- Regular Jumbo Biscuits – You can also use regular Jumbo biscuits, but the biscuit dough is different, and the texture will change. Non-flaky biscuits are the best to use if you want to make filled donuts, like jelly or cream.

Oh. My. Goodness. These were so quick and easy. I grew up on doing this but fried in oil. This is so much better on the calorie side and there’s no difference in the taste.

How To Make Donuts In An Air Fryer
- Prepare by preheating the air fryer and cutting the center out of each biscuit using a round biscuit cutter. Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil or coconut oil or brush on vegetable oil.
- Air Fry batches of the biscuits until they’ve reached how dark or firm you prefer them. Repeat until all of the biscuits have been cooked.
- Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and set aside. Place the donuts on a wire rack and brush melted butter all over them.
- Dip the donuts in the cinnamon-sugar mixture making sure they get completely coated. Enjoy!

How To Store Leftover Air Fryer Biscuit Donuts
Place any leftover donuts in an airtight container for up to 3 days. If you want to enjoy them warm, simply pop them in the microwave for about 10 seconds.

Steps
Preheat the air fryer to 350°F for 5 minutes and spray the basket with olive oil or coconut oil or use a silicone brush to brush vegetable oil on the bottom. Do not use regular nonstick spray.
Open the can of biscuits and use a 1 to 1½-inch round biscuit cutter to cut the center out of the biscuits.
Place 4 of the biscuits in the air fryer and cook for 4 to 5 minutes depending on how dark/firm you want them. Use tongs to remove the donuts and cook the remaining donuts.
Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and set aside.
Place the donuts on a wire rack on top of a baking sheet (this will catch any dripping butter or excess sugar) and use a pastry brush to brush the melted butter all over the donuts.
Then dip the donuts in the cinnamon-sugar mixture making sure you completely coat them.
Notes
- I use a Cosori air fryer which cooked 4 donuts at a time, other brands or sizes maybe cook more or less.
- For Glazed Topping:
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Whisk together and dip donuts in and place on a wire rack to drip and set.
- Cook the donuts holes for just 3 minutes at 350 degrees F.
- Honey biscuits can be used.
- Don't have an air fryer? These biscuit donuts would fry up to a beautiful golden brown when cooked in hot oil! Dusting them with powdered sugar afterward would make for another great variation option!
- Place any leftover donuts in an airtight container for up to 3 days. If you want to enjoy them warm, simply pop them in the microwave for about 10 seconds.
