  • Rice Chex Cereal
  • Andes Mints
  • Boxes of Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix
  • Junior Mints
  • Mini York Peppermint Patties

How To Make Mint Chocolate Muddy Buddies

  1. Add the Rice Chex Cereal to a large mixing bowl.
  2. Melt the Andes Mints in the microwave on intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Pour the melted Andes Mints over the cereal in the bowl and gently stir to coat.
  4. Sprinkle the mint chocolate cereal with the powdered pudding mix and toss until fully coated.
  5. Mix in the Junior Mints, Mini York Peppermint Patties, and chopped up Andes Mints if desired.

How To Store These Muddy Buddies

Place the Muddy Buddy mixture in an airtight container or Ziploc bags. Then store it at room temperature for up to one week.

I often make this mixture a day or two before a party or gathering. Just make sure to keep it stored in an airtight container or bag. That way it doesn’t go stale before you and your guests can enjoy it!

Steps

  1. Add the Chex to a large mixing bowl.

  2. Add the Andes Mints to a medium bowl and microwave for 45 seconds, stir, then microwave for an additional 30 seconds. If the chocolate isn't fully melted after stirring the second time, microwave for another 15 seconds.

  3. Add the melted chocolate mints to the bowl of cereal and gently stir with a rubber spatula until evenly coated.

  4. Sprinkle on the powdered pudding mix and toss until coated.

  5. Add in the candy, including extra chopped up Andes Mints if desired, and toss to combine.

Notes

  • A 10oz. bag of milk or dark chocolate wafers can be used if you'd prefer it less minty.
  • Makes about 14 1/2 cup servings.
