Bright, Fruity, & Totally Delicious!

How To Make Strawberry Puree is a quick and simple recipe that has way better flavor than store-bought! It’s made right in your kitchen in just 35 minutes using only 3 ingredients!

Its bright, fresh, and fruity flavor is the perfect way to bring life to all of your favorite strawberry recipes! I love using it in drinks, as breakfast or dessert toppings, or adding it to my favorite baking recipes!

Every year I even pick a few extra quarts of strawberries from our local Strawberry Farm just to make this recipe! I then freeze a large batch so our family can enjoy the taste of summer all year round!

Ingredients For Making Strawberry Puree

To make this Strawberry Puree Recipe you’ll need just 3 easy ingredients:

  • Strawberries – Fresh or frozen! If you opt for frozen berries just be sure that you allow them to thaw before continuing with this recipe.
  • Granulated Sugar – Used to help create the perfect consistency as well as sweeten the puree!
  • Lemon Juice – Don’t worry, you won’t even taste the lemon juice in this recipe! However, it is necessary for balancing out the sweetness and giving the overall puree a nice, bright flavor!

How To Make Strawberry Puree

  1. Cut the stems off the strawberries.
  2. Add the prepared berries to a medium pot with the sugar and lemon juice.
  3. Cook the mixture, stirring often to avoid boiling. Once simmering, reduce the heat and allow the strawberries to break down while continuing to stir frequently.
  4. Remove from heat and allow the Strawberry Reduction to come down to room temperature before using.

How To Serve & Enjoy Homemade Strawberry Puree

This Homemade Strawberry Puree can be used in SO many recipes to bring better, fresher strawberry flavor to them! Here are some of my favorite ways to use up the puree:

Storage Instructions For Homemade Puree

Store the puree in an airtight container or a mason jar in the refrigerator. Enjoy the Strawberry Puree for up to 5 days.

Freeze Strawberry Puree To Enjoy Later!

I love making a large batch to freeze and use for convivence when I need it! To do so just follow the recipe instructions and then allow the puree to completely cool.

Then pour the puree into ice cube trays and freeze. Afterward, pop the frozen blocks of puree out of the tray. Then place them in a freezer bag for easier storing.

The ice cube trick is great for portioning it out to use a little at a time when needed! If you prefer, you can freeze it all in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Can I Use This In Recipes That Call For Strawberry Simple Syrup? This puree is thicker than simple syrup, however, it can be used in drinks interchangeably. You’ll just want to blend them into a finer Strawberry Syrup. To do this you can use an immersion blender, a regular blender, or a food processor.
