An Americanized Mazagran
This may not be your average iced coffee recipe, but it is shockingly super delicious! I was a bit skeptical too, but this recipe is one where you just have to trust the process.
This enticing blend of tart lemonade and bold espresso creates a refreshing, caffeinated drink that’s like summer in a coffee cup! Topped with cloud-like lemon cold foam, this will quickly become your go-to drink to cool down while caffeinating in the heat of summer!
This citrusy, creamy twist on your daily espresso can be made quickly and easily by using store-bought lemonade and lemon curd, or you can spend a little extra time to enjoy fresh flavor by whipping up Home Lemonade and Homemade Lemon Curd!
Espresso Lemonade Ingredients
This easy drink recipe is built on ice, lemonade, and brewed espresso. To keep this drink quick, use store-bought lemonade. For the best flavor, I recommend a high-quality lemonade, such as Santa Cruz or Newman’s Own.
If you have extra time or are hosting and want to impress, skip the store-bought and make homemade lemonade instead!
Finish this refreshing espresso-based drink with homemade lemon cold foam. Make it by frothing heavy cream, whole milk, lemon curd, and fine sea salt. Like the lemonade option, you can also use store-bought lemon curd or make a batch of homemade lemon curd.
For store-bought lemon curd, I reach for Mrs. Bridges or Wilken & Sons; when I’m up for homemade, I whip up my 30-minute lemon curd recipe.
