After all, mint chocolate is one of those foolproof combinations that everyone loves, especially during the holiday season.

They’re a two-bite palate cleanser after a big feast with friends and family, and they’re super pretty, too! Oh, and did I mention they’re crazy easy to make?

How To Make Mint Cookie Truffles:

1. In a food processor, pulse the cookies until fine crumbs form. Reserve 2 tablespoons of filling mixture to sprinkle on top of the finished truffles.

2. In a medium-sized bowl or stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, mix together the cookie crumbs, cream cheese, and vanilla extract until fully combined.

3. Use a medium cookie scoop to roll the mixture into 1-inch sized balls. Arrange the balls a couple of inches apart on the prepared baking sheet and chill in the fridge for 20 minutes.

How Can You Decorate Them?

You can make Mint Cookie Truffles look extra festive by sprinkling toppings onto the slightly cooled truffles. Before the chocolate coating sets completely, try adding:

– Round colored sprinkles
– Cookie crumbs
– Mini chocolate chips – semi-sweet chocolate, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, or white chocolate chips all work!
– Crushed peppermint candies
– Crushed Andes Mint candies
– Chocolate drizzle
– If there’s excess chocolate after dipping, you can drizzle it onto the chocolate coating and let it harden. You can also use any other kind of melted chocolate you have on hand.

Storage Instructions

Room Temperature: These will be good for about 6 hours at room temperature. After that, they should be refrigerated since they contain dairy, plus the chocolate could start to get soft.

Refrigerator: These truffles will last about 1 month when stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Freezer: They’ll stay good for about 3 months when stored in an airtight container in the freezer. If you’re using a freezer bag, try to squeeze out as much air as possible before freezing.

Mint Cookie Truffle Variations

These truffles are delicious on their own, but you can make some slight variations for even more pizzazz! Some ideas:

  • For an extra dose of mint, add peppermint extract or mint extract to the mixture – about ¼ teaspoon should do.
  • Turn these into mint chocolate Oreo truffles by adding crushed Oreos to the truffle mixture. Don’t forget to garnish with some chocolate cookie crumbles!
  • You can add crushed peppermint candies or candy canes into the truffle mixture, too. It’ll give these treats some yummy crunch.
