Ingredients For Christmas Wreath Cookies

  • Pinwheel Cookies
  • Twizzlers Pull and Peel
  • Green Melting Chocolate Wafers
  • Green and Red Christmas Sprinkles

How To Make Christmas Wreath Cookies

  1. Freeze the pinwheel cookies to harden them up before dipping and decorating.
  2. Pull the Twizzlers apart and tie each strand into a small bow. Then set these edible bows aside.
  3. Melt the green wafers in the microwave at intervals.
  4. Dip one side of the frozen pinwheel cookies in the melted green chocolate. Then transfer it to a cool rack.
  5. Quickly add the bow to the top of the wreath and add Christmas colored sprinkles to the cookies before the chocolate hardens. Repeat this process for all of the cookies.

How To Store Christmas Wreath Cookies

Once the cookies have set up, wrap them with plastic wrap. Then place them in the refrigerator to enjoy for up to 3 days!

Wreath Cookie Alternative

Don’t like marshmallow cookies? That’s ok! This recipe is intended to be a no-bake, easy recipe! However, you can get a similar wreath cookie using Classic Christmas Sugar Cookies.

Simply roll the dough out and use a biscuit cutter to cut circles out. Then use a smaller circle to cut the centers out, giving the cookies a donut-looking appearance.

Then bake them and top them with Frosting that’s been dyed with green gel food coloring. Afterward, add your edible decorations to your Christmas wreath sugar cookies!

More Fun, Family-Friendly Holiday Recipes That Also Require Zero Baking:

Steps

  1. Freeze the pinwheel cookies for at least 1 hour so they will harden up a bit before decorating.

  2. Pull apart the Twizzlers so you have 12 individual strings. Tie each one into a small bow and set these aside. (I used the bunny ear method to tie the bow ties).

  3. Melt the green wafers using the package directions. Do not overheat, you only need the chocolate to be just melted.

  4. Take the cookies out of the freezer and decorate them one by one. Hold a pinwheel upside down and dip it into the green chocolate enough to coat the top of the cookie, then place it on a cooling rack.

  5. Immediately place one bow on the top of the wreath and add Christmas colored sprinkles to the rest of the cookie before the chocolate hardens. Repeat this process for each cookie.

Notes

I recommend wrapping these with plastic and keeping them in the fridge until you serve them. They will last up to 3 days after being made!
